Antioxidants and Vitamin deficiency

Antioxidants are defined as substances that significantly decrease the adverse effects of reactive species, such as reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, on normal physiological function in humans. Any substance which that prevents or impedes cell oxidation by free radicals can be called antioxidant. Free radicals (resulting from among other things, smoking, alcohol consumption and pollution) readily damage the tissues of our body and have been linked with the onset of many diseases including heart disease and cancer. The most efficient antioxidants are vitamins A, C and E; lycopene (found in tomatoes); flavonoids and especially quericetin; and coenzyme Q10.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Fatty foods increase levels of LDLs in our blood.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Deregulations of chemicals used in the manufacture of coating and coverings on ceilings, walls, floors and furniture.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Increased UV radiation - due to thinning of the ozone layer.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

High levels of preservatives and peroxides in our diets increase our intake of free radicals. Many processed foods lose antioxidants during manufacture.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Exposure to free radical-intensive modern technology, e.g. microwaves, x-raysand magnetic fields.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Motor vehicle emission and other forms of industrial polluants have a high free radical content.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

Direct or passive cigarette smoking is known to be one of the densest free radical sources.

Free Radicals in your Lifestyle

During exercise you can use up to 20 times more oxygen.

Products: Antioxidants and Vitamines

B-vitamin complex
B vitamin complexB-vitamins belong to the group of vitamins that are soluble in water and play crucial roles in the process of cell metabolism. In the past, it was believed that B-vitamins are a single vitamin similar to Vitamin A, Vitamin C, etc. and was called Vitamin B. It was later discovered that B-vitamins are chemically diverse vitamins that are usually present in the same foods (usually, whole unprocessed foods). Thus, a supplement that contains all the eight B-vitamins is referred to as B-vitamin complex. B-vitamins are essential in supporting and increasing metabolic rate, maintaining healthy muscle tone and skin, enhancing immunity and functions of the nervous system, promoting cell growth and cell division, and reducing the risk of having pancreatic cancer.
The B vitamins are a group of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism. The B vitamins were once thought to be a single vitamin, referred to as vitamin B (much as people refer to vitamin C or vitamin D). Later research showed that they are chemically distinct vitamins that often coexist in the same foods. In general, supplements containing all eight are referred to as a vitamin B complex. Individual B vitamin supplements are referred to by the specific name of each vitamin (e.g., B1, B2, B3 etc.).
EACH TABLET CONTAINS:
B1-10 mg, B2-10 mg, B6-10 mg, B12-10 mcg, Biotin 0.5 mg, Niacin-50 mg, Pantothenic acid-35 mg, Vitamin C - 500 mg, Zink-7.5 mg.

Coenzyme Q10
TextCoEnzyme Q10 is a substance boosting production of cellular energy and providing additional support for the cardiovascular system. The drug is increasingly popular for the maintenance of physical activeness during intensive training as well as for general use. In some experiments coenzyme Q10 has shown the ability to prolong life and to prevent as well as treat many diseases, including Heart Disease, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Diabetes, Heart Damage caused by Chemotherapy, Breast Cancer, Periodontal (gum) Disease. CoEnzyme Q10 is necessary for all healthy individuals after 30 years for stimulation and maintenance of the organism, increase of energy and vitality, prevention of premature aging and depression of the immune system.

D3 Vitamin
Benefits of Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 promotes calcium's absorption and functions for teen's and children's healthy teeth and bones, prevents loss of bone mass, and treats bone disorders. It protects against adult and elderly muscle weakness and immune system issues, and lowers the risk of colon, breast, and prostate cancers. Rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis is improved with vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 prevents/treats rickets, post menopausal osteoporosis. The vitamin also treats hypoglycemia, Multiple Sclerosis and the development of Type 1 diabetes.
Benefits of vitamin D3 in the elderly and fractures are still under investigation. An analysis, reported in August 2007 by the University of Ottawa Evidence-based Practice Center, showed higher doses of vitamin D3 of between 700-800 IU's per day combined with calcium help prevent hip fractures for institutionalized elderly. The study did not include elderly living independently in the community.

E vitamin
Vitamin E has lots of several functions, such as protecting cell membranes, protecting your skin from ultraviolet light, allowing cells to communicate effectively, preventing cell damage from free radicals and it also helps protect against prostate cancer and the Alzheimer disease. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant which stops the production of reactive oxygen species which are formed when fat undergoes oxidant. Vitamin E has some side effects, such as: swelling of the face, lips or tongue, allergic reactions such as skin rash, dizziness, headache, stomach pains, unusual bleeding, changes in vision, nausea or vomiting.

Echinacea/ Vit. C 1000/ Zinc
Echinacea
Echinacea is an herb found in region of North America. It contains several chemicals which include polysaccharides, glycoproteins, alkamides, volatile oils and flavonoids. The combination of these fluids is responsible for its beneficial effect. It is still under debate that whether Echinacea helps to prevent cold or not. While some of the studies have shown that this drug can prove helpful in getting relief from cold. Each of 20 effervescent tablets contains Echinacea extract 150 mg, 1000 mg vitamin C and 15 mg Zinc. All these ingredients are immuno stimulators. The dosage for this drug is calculated on the basis of weight of an individual. Immuno stimulators refer to medications that are used to treat cancer or to suppress the immune system in the case of organ transplant so that the new organ is not rejected.

Fish oil
The major active ingredients of fish oil are two essential polyunsaturated so-called omega-3 fatty acids: EPA (eicosapentaenic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenic acid), which cannot be produced by the human organism. Alpha-linolenic acid can be converted to EPA and DHA in the body, but the conversion is quite inefficient especially in older people. The administration of these polyunsaturated fatty acids as treatment courses lowers blood lipid and cholesterol levels, improves the rheological properties of the blood and exerts a favorable effect on blood coagulation process.

Fish oils (EPA and DHA) play a crucial role in the prevention of atherosclerosis, heart attack, depression, and cancer.

Recognizing the unique benefits of EPA and DHA and the serious consequences of a deficiency the US National Institutes of Health recently published Recommended Daily Intakes of fatty acids. They recommend a total daily intake of 650 mg of EPA and DHA, 2.22 g/day of alpha-linolenic acid and 4.44 g/day of linoleic acid. Saturated fat intake should not exceed 8 per cent of total calorie intake or about 18 g/day.

Folic Acid
Folate is an essential vitamin that is also known as folic acid and folacin. The synthetic form of the vitamin (folic acid), pteroylglutamic acid, is seldom found naturally in food.
Vitamin B9 (folic acid and folate inclusive) is essential to numerous bodily functions. The human body needs folate to synthesize DNA, repair DNA, and methylate DNA as well as to act as a cofactor in biological reactions involving folate. The folates found in nature contain the core chemical structure of pteroylglutamic acid but vary in their state of reduction, the single carbon moiety they bear and/or the length of the glutamate chain attached. At least 50% of whole body folate is stored in the liver. The metabolic role of folate is as an acceptor and donor of one-carbon units in a variety of reactions involved in amino acid and nucleotide metabolism. The carbon can be carried as a methyl, methylene, formyl, formimino or methenyl group. The coenzyme form of the vitamin is typically fully reduced and poly-glutamylated. In the adult, folate is absorbed primarily in the proximal one-third of the small intestine. It is also conceivable that a portion of the large depot of bacterially synthesized folate in the large intestine may be absorbed. A large portion of folate delivered to the liver is secreted into bile and redistributed to peripheral tissues. Polyglutamylation (addition of glutamic acids) of folate is believed necessary to concentrate and store folates in tissues.

Lipoic acid
Lipoic acid is both water and fat-soluble antioxidant. It lowers oxidative damage to proteins and protects mitochondria from oxidative stress. Increase glutathione level. It has lipotropic effect, protects against potential damage by heavy metals.
Keywords: Lipoic acid vitamin, carnitine lipoic acid, lipoic acid acetyl carnitine, lipoic acid supplements, lipoic acid diabetes, lipoic acid dosage, lipoic acid liver, lipoic acid weight loss, lipoic acid food source.

Maca Vibe
Maca is a cruciferous plant native of the central Andean of Peru (above 4000 m.a.s.n.). It is known that MACA is used since 2000 years ago as nourisment and medicine. As an aphrodisiac for both men and women (those seeking heightened sexual prowess).
