Super gene discovered to fight against aging

Super gene discovered to fight against aging

In the recent developments to find anti aging pill, scientists have announced that they have achieve a break through toward this direction by discovering three super genes that are related to increased longevity and decreased risk of feebleness by impacting on insulin signalling. Researchers think that reducing sugar intake in diet is the primary step against aging. They are planning to produce drug which can mimic the benefits of genes.
Dr. Nir Barzilai, the lead scientist said that the plan is to produce drug which can mimic the benefits of genes and if they get success in achieving this, than people can look for a terrific long life. Carriers of the genes have 1 in 500 chances of making it to 100 which is significantly higher than the odds of non carriers; currently 1 in 10,000 they have reduced ability for developing high cholesterol and diabetes.
Based on this recent research, the increased longevity and resistance to diseases can be explained fully by gene conferring improved insulin sensitivity upon the carrier. The reduced insulin shows increase in systemic inflammation, mismanagement of lipids, increase risk of cancer and disease such as Alzheimer’s. Scientists strongly believe that this finding is a huge opportunity as the aging population is growing anyway. This would help people to work longer and can have healthier life.
