Vinpotropile Review Article
Vinpotropile is a combination of Vinpocetine (with cerebro protecting properties) and Piracetam (with nootropic properties). It is basically micro-circulation enhancer which improves oxygen supply to brain cells. Piracetam increases brain cell metabolism and energy levels, and speeds up interhemispheric flow of information. Piracetam markedly decreases the formation of neuronal lipofuscin and improves posture in elderly people. It basically works by oxygenating and activating cerebral metabolism. Vinpotropile side effects include decrease in blood pressure, rarely tachycardia and extrasystole, prolonging the excitability time of the ventricle.

Vinpocetine oxygenate and activate cerebral metabolism and it has several possible actions, including increasing cerebral blood flow and metabolism, anticonvulsant, cognition enhancement, neuroprotection and antioxidant. Vinpocetine is a chemical substance synthesized from vincamine. Vincamine, the parent compound of vinpocetine, is believed to be a cerebral vasodilator. Several mechanisms have been proposed for the possible actions of vinpocetine. Vinpocetine has been reported to have calcium-channel blocking activity, as well as voltage-gated sodium channel blocking activity. It has also been reported to inhibit the acetylcholine release evoked by excitatory amino acids and to protect neurons against excitotoxicity. In addition, vinpocetine has been shown to inhibit a cyclic GMP phosphodiesterase, and it is speculated that this inhibition enhances cyclic GMP levels in the vascular smooth muscle, leading to reduced resistance of cerebral vessels and increase of cerebral flow. In some studies, vinpocetine has demonstrated antioxidant activity equivalent to that of vitamin E. Piracetam is a smart-drug or nootropic. Nootropic means "acting on the mind". It is a term first used by Dr. Giurgea to describe a substance found to have useful effects in the treatment of memory loss, age related memory decline and lack of concentration etc. That substance was piracetam, not only was it beneficial, but it was also found to have so few side effects and contraindications that one biochemist described it; "as safe as salt!" Since then, nootropics have so-many beneficial affects on mental and memory capabilities, which they have come to be known as smart-drugs. One of the primary differences between nootropics and other "memory enhancers" is that nootropics have a beneficial effect upon the brain's Corpus Callosum. This area of the brain joins the two hemispheres, it links the logical side with creative side, hence ying and yang. This may be the major reason why "creative" individuals and "brain" workers find they can accomplish much more, when they are supplementing with nootropics.

Vinpotropile a brand name medication is a combination of Vinpocetine (with cerebro protecting properties) and Piracetam (with nootropic properties) used for the treatment of cerebral vascular diseases.
Drug name cavinton whose active ingredient is vinpocetine oxygenate and activate cerebral metabolism i.e. it acts as an memory enhacer and it has several possible actions including increasing cerebral blood flow and metabolism, anticonvulsant, cognition enhancement, neuroprotection and antioxidant.
One of the primary differences between nootropics and other memory enhancers is that nootropics have a beneficial effect upon the brain's Corpus Callosum which joins the two hemispheres.
Vinpotropile side effects include decrease in blood pressure, rarely tachycardia and extrasystole, prolonging the excitability time of the ventricle (QT Time)
Nootropil is the generic name of the nootropic which is a derivative of GABA or gamma-aminobutyric acid, a neurotransmitter. It is use to treat treat conditions such as cortical myoclonus, dementia, vertigo, dyslexia and sickle cell anemia.

Weight loss- an effective way to cure sleep apnea says scientists
Scientists at Karolinska Institutet have reported that a dramatic weight loss in obese men can be an effective way to improve moderate to severe sleep apnoea, which is a temporary cessation of breathing during sleep. Sleep apnoea if not treated can cause an increased risk of traffic accidents, stroke and heart disease. It is already known that people with obesity are more likely to develop the disease, and that men are more affected than women.
Obstructive sleep apnoea is a common sleep disorder characterised by pauses in breathing during sleep. Each episode of apnoea lasts for at least 10 seconds and is caused by the collapse of the upper airways during sleep. A randomized study was conducted for a period of nine weeks which includes 63 obese men aged between 30 and 65. Participants measured by AHI(apnoea-hypopnea) shows moderate to severe sleep apnoea. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups, one of which underwent an intense weight-loss programme and the other served as a control group.
The results of the study showed that the weight loss group lost 19 kilos on average after nine weeks and more than halved the number of apnoea events. The researchers successfully noted that the effect of the weight loss programme was greatest in patients with severe sleep apnoea. To achieve significant weight loss, the participants of weight-loss programme group were put on a very low calorie diet (VLCD), which gave them an initial energy input of 554 kcal per day for seven weeks and the control group participants maintained their normal dietary habits during the nine week study period. Kari Johansson, one of the researchers involved in the study concludes by saying weight loss may be an effective treatment strategy for sleep apnoea in obese men.
Biomarkers of aging:
Perceived age is a biomarker for predicts the survival of aged people
Twins is a major aspect for the researchers. To get a conclusion about the long living of twins, a professor “Kaare Christensen” from UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DENMARK and his colleagues studied upon the 1826 twins who were ages of 70+.
In this research, the researchers studied on series of physical actions, cognitive tests and blood tests for recognizing the telomere length (white blood cells).
As well as, the researchers take assistance from the death records of twins of more than seven year period. To know the long living of twins, the researchers adopt the way of perceived age and supposed the age of each twins through their photos by looking their faces.
Most interesting that by adopting the way of perceived age, the researchers found that perceived age is enough parallel to the physical appearance, cognitive functioning and length of telomeres (white blood cells).
Further, through this research, the researchers observed that there were great differences between the perceived ages of each twin’s pair as well as those individuals were look older in comparison to their twins, died first.
By this research, the group of researchers come into this conclusion that “Perceived age” is a perfect way to recognize the accurate length of survival of those individuals who are of 70 and over 70’s.
